Styles
A style is a variation of the design that is a different model, not just a different colour: a ribbed or a smooth vase, a cat or a dog figure. Customers pick the style first, then the colours and the size.
When to use styles
Use styles when the geometry differs. If only the colours differ, offer those colours on the parts instead. If only the dimensions differ, use sizes.
Turning styles on
On the Design tab switch on This product has multiple styles and add a style card for each variation. Each style has:
- a label customers see,
- the sizes it is offered in,
- its own model, uploaded on the style card when the design has one size, or per size on the Sizes & prices tab when it has several,
- optionally its own colour choices, when a style should offer other colours than the design does.
Switching styles off again folds the files back into the design, so nothing is lost if you change your mind.
Styles and parts
Every style must contain the same parts under the same names, so the colour choices apply to all of them. The Colours & parts tab tells you when a part is missing from a style's model.
