Uploading a model

Each design has one model, uploaded on the Design tab. When a design has several sizes or styles with their own geometry, the model is uploaded per size or per style instead; see Sizes and prices and Styles.

Which file to upload

FormatParts and coloursPrint fileNotes
3MF from Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicerEach object becomes a partYour project is reused as-is, recoloured per orderRecommended
Other 3MFEach object becomes a partRebuilt from the geometryPlates and print settings are not kept
STLOne partRebuilt from the geometry
GLBParts from the file's meshesNeeds a separate production filePreview only

Export the 3MF from your slicer with the model exactly as you print it: one object per part, assembled or on their plates, with your print settings applied. Mouldr shows customers the parts in their assembled positions and keeps your project for the print file.

Separate production file

If the model you want customers to see differs from the file you print, for example a lighter preview model, upload the printable file under Production file. Mouldr then uses it for orders and the model only for the preview.

Previews

After an upload Mouldr converts the model into an optimised preview for the designer. Large models take a moment; the designer uses the original until the optimised preview is ready.

Size limit

Uploads are limited to about 35 MB per file. Reduce the mesh in your slicer or modelling tool if a file is larger.
